3 Bike Ride Sunday 9th March

43 mile ride starting from Wetheral (park at the community centre) at 09.30 hours. Walton, Gilsland, Haltwhistle, Hallbankgate, Talkin, Great Corby. >> ROUTE HERE << Some lal lumps but nothing torturous. 

Refreshments at Gilsland (18 miles).

The weather (at this time) is forecast to be 'glorious' with lots of sunshine, no precipitation, a gentle breeze & temperatures up to 15°c 🥵 So no excuses not to come along & I expect lots & lots of club members to turn out 😉😁

Holiday Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st September

  With thanks to Adella, we have identified an option for a holiday at Cote Ghyll Mill Youth Hostel near Osmotherley , east of Northallerton . There looks to be a great choice of road cycling gravelling and MTB nearby.  We are proposing to book the hostel entirely for our use from Thursday 18th September to Sunday 21st September . The property does not do self-catering; we either take B & B or full board including a packed lunch and 2 course evening meal and the full board option is very economical so that is what we propose. The property has 14 bedrooms each with 2, 4 or 6 beds in them and all of them are ensuite. I have worked on the basis of 2 people sharing a room but one room (at least) could be turned into a single-sex dorm style room. They are all bunk beds but 5 of the rooms have a lower bunk which is a double bed. If 2 people are in a room for 4 (or 6) they will both be able to have a lower bunk I have worked out the cost on the basis of 2 people sharing each roo...
