  Hi all,  Hope you can join me for a ride on Sunday.  09:30 start.  The loop will start and finish in Shap at the public car park next to the bowling green, w3w ///firebird.glorious.awaited. Route heads over to Kirkby Stephen via Great Asby, down through Mallerstang (source of the River Eden) to Garsdale , over Dent Fell (highest point on the ride at 537m/1761ft) into Dentdale, along to Sedbergh then up the Lune Valley back to Shap.  Stops anticipated at Kirkby Stephen (coffee), Dent (Lunch) and possibly Sedbergh (if we need more sustenance before the last leg back to Shap – I’m not familiar with cafes in this area but I’m sure you will have suggestions.  ROUTE HERE .  Approx. 100km/62m distance and 1400m/4500ft of climbing (probably a bit more given Garmin Connect route planning estimates). Come & join me for a ride crossing a total of 8 bridges over the River Eden from the Carlisle's Western Bypass all the way upstream to Langwathby + crossings over the rivers Irthing, Petteril & Caldew. The ride starts from Dalston at 09:30.  Coffee is at Sally's in Warwick Bridge after 17 miles. Bring your own refreshments for a picnic stop later in the ride before returning to Dalston. As yet we don't know exact numbers but it would be helpful to know who is able to provide soup/crumble/both and who is able to help on the day itself.
