3 bike ride - Uldale, Bewaldeth, Westward

The ride on Sunday 26th July from Dalston will start at 9am (note the earlier start time).

The route will be to Hesket New Market then Fellside.  Cafe stop at 20 miles at Uldale.   The ride continues to the Castle Inn and Setmurthy and eventually to Bewaldeth.   On the return we will be close to Uldale and we can visit the cafe again if we choose.  Ride over  Sandale to Westward and back to Dalston.   Total distance 50 miles.  The route is at https:connect.garmin/modern/course/491025285

Pyrenean Foothills (Mediterranean France) Cycle Tour

The landscape between Carcassonne, Foix and Perpignan is a delightful place to ride a road bike. It is peppered with deep gorges, vineyards, thick forests and spectacular medieval castles. The narrow roads that link the pretty, sun-baked villages are quiet, generally well surfaced and far from flat, making for a satisfying exploration of this beautiful area. Phil and I have signed up to join Marmot Tours “Pyrenean Foothills” trip from 15 th  to 22 nd  May next year. The trip starts and finishes in Foix (free transfers from/to Toulouse airport) and offers 6 days of cycling with several choices of route on each day.
