3 Bike Ride on Sunday from Dalston - 9:30 Start

Meet at 9:30 Sunday morning in Dalston for a ride up to Melmerby (22 miles) for brunch. Route HERE 

Either join at the start or somewhere along the route. Cross the river at Armathwaite and then onto to Melmerby via Staffield, KO,  Glassonby & Gamblesby. Return to Dalston via Langwathby etc. 

Total distance 51 miles.

Trivets Wednesday 2 July 2025

We had another successful planning meeting on Thursday – thanks to all those who came along. If it isn’t there already, please put the date of 2 July in your diary for our Trivets event starting from Dalston Victory Hall. This is a great opportunity to showcase our lovely area to visitors and the figure of 8 route from Dalston, taking in Mungrisdale in the morning and the Solway coast in the afternoon, does just that. We’ve been running Trivets events at least from 2010 – that’s as far back as Nigel and I go – and even if you aren’t up to the riding, it’s always a great day, meeting like minded cyclists and having fun. We can’t do this without the full participation of the club so we hope you will volunteer to help. There is a form to complete to help us spread the jobs around and to make sure we don’t end up with not enough soup and too much crumble!
