Sunday 25th June Gretna to Glencaple

Solway coast ride on the Scottish side, should be around 55miles. Due to popular demand a ride with a few less hills. The weather forecast is a bit variable and looks like it might be a bit breezy. Starting at the car park in Gretna off Central Avenue, out to Glencaple and lunch stop at the Boat House cafe. The cafe sits on the side of the river Nith, so you can choose to BYO picnic and eat by the river, or go in for coffee and cake.

I have hedged my bets and made two versions, they are both more or less the same roads, just the order we ride them changes, will choose which on Sunday morning depending on the forecast (Wind direction👍).

Route 'B' >>Here<<

If the weather stays fair it should be a scenic ride, hope some of you can join me.

P.S. John H reminded me how busy the Boat House can get on a Sunday lunch time, they do take away, or play safe and BYO just in case?
