2 bike ride Wednesday 5 April

Sorry for the short notice; if anyone wishes to cycle from Langwathby to the Pot Place I would be glad of their company. I am doing the same ride as I did to UpFront on 12 March (which was actually the last time I was out) but as that was 3 and a half weeks ago, I hope you'll have forgotten it! Via Bowscar and the Stoneygate roundabout out, via Lazonby return with the option of lunch at Melmerby which would extend the route by  7 miles. I shall be leaving Langwathby at 10 am - even at my slow pace it shouldn't take longer than an hour. Company welcome.

Trivets Wednesday 2 July 2025

We had another successful planning meeting on Thursday – thanks to all those who came along. If it isn’t there already, please put the date of 2 July in your diary for our Trivets event starting from Dalston Victory Hall. This is a great opportunity to showcase our lovely area to visitors and the figure of 8 route from Dalston, taking in Mungrisdale in the morning and the Solway coast in the afternoon, does just that. We’ve been running Trivets events at least from 2010 – that’s as far back as Nigel and I go – and even if you aren’t up to the riding, it’s always a great day, meeting like minded cyclists and having fun. We can’t do this without the full participation of the club so we hope you will volunteer to help. There is a form to complete to help us spread the jobs around and to make sure we don’t end up with not enough soup and too much crumble!
