As discussed at the AGM - we need to get some indication of interest in a club week away next year 2025. We are thinking11-18 May so....... Please fill in your name on the sheet which you can get to <HERE> to indicate your interest -Two questions to answer. Positive and negative results are equally valid so please make the effort to respond! Some of you will have heard that Nigel came off his bike on ice on Wednesday. We were lucky in so many ways; Adella was promptly on the phone to call an ambulance, some people passing in cars provided sit mats and blankets and went to fetch us hot water bottles, another man provided hot sugared tea, the police were very helpful (including putting 2 bikes in the van to get them back to our vehicle) and the ambulance arrived after just over an hour. Nigel was taken to Lancaster hospital and given a bed on a ward by 7.30 p.m. Tomorrow afternoon he's due to be operated on by Mr/Dr Patel who we're told is an expert in management of people who have fractures after hip replacements - it's called a periprosthetic fracture apparently. Nigel's in good spirits and very appreciative of messages that have been sent to him. We're just taking it one day at a time, but as I intend to be visiting Sunday - I don't expect he will be discharged that soon but who knows? - I don'...
