Holiday Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st September

With thanks to Adella, we have identified an option for a holiday at Cote Ghyll Mill Youth Hostel near Osmotherley, east of Northallerton. There looks to be a great choice of road cycling gravelling and MTB nearby. 

We are proposing to book the hostel entirely for our use from Thursday 18th September to Sunday 21st September. The property does not do self-catering; we either take B & B or full board including a packed lunch and 2 course evening meal and the full board option is very economical so that is what we propose.

The property has 14 bedrooms each with 2, 4 or 6 beds in them and all of them are ensuite. I have worked on the basis of 2 people sharing a room but one room (at least) could be turned into a single-sex dorm style room. They are all bunk beds but 5 of the rooms have a lower bunk which is a double bed. If 2 people are in a room for 4 (or 6) they will both be able to have a lower bunk

I have worked out the cost on the basis of 2 people sharing each room which allows for 28 people. If you would like sole occupation of a 2 bedded room, the figures mean I will have to charge you for 2 people, but if more than 2 people share a room I may be able to offer a discount and we could also increase our numbers. I can sort out the best room allocation in due course. 

The cost for 3 nights, including bed, breakfast, packed lunch and 2 course evening meal will be £300 per person. There may be a refund if all 28 places are taken up but I have to budget on the basis that the holiday should not be subsidised by the club. 

If we're going ahead, we need to make a booking without delay in order to reserve the hostel before any one gets in first so we're asking you to make a commitment within the next 7 days - the deadline is Monday February 10th.

 

If you can do the dates we propose and would like to make a reservation, please complete the booking form and send a deposit of £75. We cannot go ahead without this as we have to pay a 25% deposit to make our reservation. If there are insufficient numbers to go ahead, your deposit will be returned. The  balance will be due in the middle of July

Simple Survey of interest in group holiday

As discussed at the AGM - we need to get some indication of interest in a club week away next year 2025. We are thinking11-18 May so.......
