Hallbank circuit from Penrith cemetry - 3 Bike ride Sunday 21 July

I am proposing to do this route up Hartside over towards Alston stopping at Castle Nook and or Hallbankgate for refreshments and returning along the Fellside. I would be pleased to have company but I realsie its a bit last minute. It seems a shame not to get out when the weather is good.

Trivets Wednesday 2 July 2025

We had another successful planning meeting on Thursday – thanks to all those who came along. If it isn’t there already, please put the date of 2 July in your diary for our Trivets event starting from Dalston Victory Hall. This is a great opportunity to showcase our lovely area to visitors and the figure of 8 route from Dalston, taking in Mungrisdale in the morning and the Solway coast in the afternoon, does just that. We’ve been running Trivets events at least from 2010 – that’s as far back as Nigel and I go – and even if you aren’t up to the riding, it’s always a great day, meeting like minded cyclists and having fun. We can’t do this without the full participation of the club so we hope you will volunteer to help. There is a form to complete to help us spread the jobs around and to make sure we don’t end up with not enough soup and too much crumble!
