3 Bike Ride on Wednesday 29th March

 Meet in Hesket Newmarket car park for 09:30 start. Route follows the Reivers Route to Cockermouth and returns via Whinlatter, with a loop around Derwent Water. Refreshment stops in Cockermouth and either Keswick or Threlkeld. Total distance about 52 miles with 1100m of climbing. Follow LINK for route.

I will be cycling from home to start of ride (leaving at about 8:55am) which will add 6 miles to each end of  the ride. Let me know if you would like to join me so I don't leave without you.

  With thanks to Adella, we have identified an option for a holiday at Cote Ghyll Mill Youth Hostel near Osmotherley , east of Northallerton . There looks to be a great choice of road cycling gravelling and MTB nearby.  We are proposing to book the hostel entirely for our use from Thursday 18th September to Sunday 21st September . The property does not do self-catering; we either take B & B or full board including a packed lunch and 2 course evening meal and the full board option is very economical so that is what we propose. The property has 14 bedrooms each with 2, 4 or 6 beds in them and all of them are ensuite. I have worked on the basis of 2 people sharing a room but one room (at least) could be turned into a single-sex dorm style room. They are all bunk beds but 5 of the rooms have a lower bunk which is a double bed. If 2 people are in a room for 4 (or 6) they will both be able to have a lower bunk I have worked out the cost on the basis of 2 people sharing each roo...

Simple Survey of interest in group holiday

As discussed at the AGM - we need to get some indication of interest in a club week away next year 2025. We are thinking11-18 May so.......
