Ride to the Forest of Ae, D&G, Southwest Scotland, Wednesday 31st August

 3 bike ride starting from the car park off Central Avenue & Union Street, Gretna at 09:30 hours, to the Forest of AE (no 'off road'). Via Hollee, Dalton, Lochmaben & Templand. Return via Tinwald, Mouswald, Powfoot & Annan. Approximately only 1,500 feet of elevation gain but the route is 68 miles long. Map & route >> HERE << 

Refreshments at Lochmaben (24 mile) & an ice cream/afternoon tea stop at Powfoot (55 mile).

Weather forecast (at this time) looks like perfect cycling conditions.

The list is now available for ride leaders to add rides. You will all notice that we are experimenting with Informal Self-led rides as discussed at our AGM. These are various routes  between 23 and 35 miles from designated starting points and include the café stop for that day. These can be downloaded for your ride. If club members intend to ride the route it would be useful if you text or WhatsApp Mike on 07906896503 so that we can assess how the experiment is going.   It is proposed to have a Club Festive lunch on Saturday 17th January 2026 1230 for 1300 at the Roundthorn Hotel Penrith. 3 Ride Sunday 1st March
