Preparation for AGM Saturday 22nd April

Langwathby Village hall - lunch 12.30 AGM 14.00 I hope, as usual as many as can make it will come to our annual get-together and AGM. It makes what is a necessary function into a pleasant social occasion. We normally start with a bring and share lunch at 12.30 then start the AGM at 1400 The Agenda will be posted before the meeting but if anyone has an item they would like to discuss and feels that it is relevant to an AGM please contact me and I will add it to the list. We have managed for a year to keep day to day aspects of the club functioning, without a Chair-person but it would be great if now that 'Covid' is passed we could have a fully working committee. Please consider giving up a small amount of your time to help run the club. The minutes of the previous AGM are posted on the web site so that you can approve these at the meeting - a few copies will be available at the meeting. Finally the pre AGM lunch at 12.30 works because people are happy to bring in food to shar

Two bike ride Sunday 12 March from Langwathby

What I am planning is... Leave Langwathby at 9.45 to cycle via Salkeld Dykes, Bowscar, Stoneybeck roundabout, towards Plumpton and then to UpFront. From UpFront back through Plumpton on to Lazonby and Kirkoswald and via Glassonby/Gamblesby to Melmerby for lunch. Return to Langwathby via Ousby, Skirwith and Culgaith. What Nigel is planning is to cycle from Melmerby, leaving at 9.15 (or thereabouts) meeting my ride at Langathby and accompanying me the rest of the way... until we get back to Melmerby where he will stop in good  time for him to watch the rugby in the afternoon. So you have alternative starts depending on what matters most to you - an early start or the rugby? Hope this ride suits at least some of you, Alison

UPCOMING...........

Sunday 12th March: Acorn Bank is still closed (although it opens for the season on Monday 13th!), so it is suggested that the cafe stop will be UpFront Galleries, Unthank. The 2nd Quarter Runs List (April-June) is now available for you to add rides HERE  . Please note that this includes the date for our AGM on Saturday 22 April at Langwathby Village Hall. The Coffee Stop rota that I use was last altered in May 2022. There were inevitable changes over the winter as cafes altered their opening days. Please look at the rota  HERE  and let me know if you think we should make alterations.
