Croglin to Dufton and Return

Image
Ride this Sunday, leaving from Croglin Village Hall at 9.30am. We will be travelling through picturesque fellside villages with fine views towards the fells, on small country lanes to Dufton. Lunch stop at Dufton. BYO lunch or cafe available in Dufton village. Travelling back to Croglin with some variation to the outward journey. We will be travelling at a leisurely pace, mostly easy going, but some steeper hills to climb nearer to the Croglin end of the journey. Approximately 40 miles in total.

Wednesday 3 bike ride from Tebay

Since there is nothing planned I've added a ride for Wednesday 29th June coming from Tebay. Coffee/Lunch in Dent? Meeting close to the Sports Ground where there is plenty of parking 0930. Hoping some may have been re-invigorated by the Tri-Vets (which I was unfortunately unable to attend 'though glad it went so well!) We go out along the Fair mile to Sedbergh then Barbon village Barbondale up Dent dale and over the Station road to Garsdale head. Finish up the Tommy road to Ravenstonedale Route here when I have it uploaded. Good weather (compared to Orkney!) if a little showery in the afternoon. Geoff Text 07711842885 if you are coming so we don't leave without you

Tri-Vets Feedback

Many many thanks to everyone for making Tri-Vets a GRAND day out (weren't we blessed with the weather!). In particular I would particularly like to thank the volunteers who organised and served the food, laid out tables & chairs, ride registration, ride leaders, did route risk assessments etc etc..... I would also like to thank all those people who came along on the day for the ride - the event would not have happened without you. It was a pleasure meeting so many new people. A few statistics from the day Youngest rider - 50, oldest rider - 80, average age - 68. Total number of riders was 46 (100km 24, 100 miles 22).  Pop up cafe at Kirkandrews-on-Eden 8th & 9th July. They are exploring the idea of opening a weekend cafe and if this is successful the aim would be to have a more permanent arrangement in the new parish hall.
