End of Lockdown #2

Image
As Cumbria returns to Tier 2 on Wednesday we are allowed to meet up outside again in groups of up to 6. So I am proposing a group ride from Dalston leaving at 09:30 .  Route is about 50 miles and passes through Lazonby, Greystoke, Caldbeck & Rosley with just over 3,000ft of climbing - no killer climbs, just gentle(ish) slopes and undulations!  Let me know if you would like to join me. If more than 6 we will split into 2 groups. Also let ,me know if you like a copy of the GPX file. Bring your own refreshments. The weather forecast looks to be OK so lets hope for a good day out. Cheers, Bill

Lockdown #2

We were just getting back to some kind of (new?) normal as a club with a regular Wednesday ride and a list of published cafe stops when it all has to stop again :( . Hopefully (that is, if you believe Boris) this lockdown will only last for 4 weeks. In the meantime it will be back to socially isolated cycling or with members of your family or one other person. We will leave the active Runs List available and I would ask that Runs Leaders start filling the slots after 2nd December to give us all something to look forward to. In the meantime please stay safe everyone and keep your pedals turning. Bill

Ride on Wednesday 4th November from Glendale Cotehill

The ride on Wednesday from Glendale will start at 9.30am. The route will pass through Penrith,  Pooley Bridge,  Dockray,  Mungrisedale,  Hesket New Market etc Estimate 55 miles Please bring your own provisions.   We will conform to the current regulations splitting up if more than six. Please let me know if you intend coming. Cheers James
